Houston is the most populated city in the state of Texas in the US. The city of Houston was named after former General Sam Houston who won the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836. The victory got Texas the independence from Mexico. Around two and a half million people live in this metropolis, the fourth most populated city in North America. There is something to do for everyone here. Day 1

Reach Houston.

First of all, visit the Houston Zoo, which was in the list of the “10 best zoos” in the Parent’s Magazine. There are more than 4,500 exotic animals from over 800 species.

Then check out the Houston Museum of Natural Science which is one of most famous museums in the US.

Lastly, go to the Waugh Drive Bridge and watch 250,000 bats emerge at dusk.

Day 2
Hermann Park

Start off by going to the Space Center Houston and learn about some incredible space facts, experiments and popular events.

Then visit the Kemah Boardwalk, which is a 35-acre coastal getaway. You will get themed restaurants, retail shops and amusements for the entire family.

In the evening, go to the Miller Outdoor Theater inside Hermann Park. Enjoy free music, dance and beautiful kid-friendly performances.

Day 3
Children's Museum - Downtown Aquarium

Visit the Children’s Museum of Houston, a fun place for kids that features 90,000 square feet of interactive exhibitions from science and technology, history and culture, health and human development and the arts.

Check out the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center and explore miles of trails and different habitats.

Then move on to the Downtown Aquarium, which is a 500,000 gallon under-water adventure complex with Ferris wheel, an aquatic carousel, various habitat displays, a Shark Voyage and also a restaurant.

Day 4
Moody Garden- Galveston Island

Go to the Moody Gardens on Galveston Island for a fun and educational experience. It is located an hour away from Downtown Houston.

After a long day of exploring the Galveston Island, get some yummy desserts at the Dessert Gallery.

Day 5
San Jacinto Monument and Back

Visit the tallest war memorial in the world, the San Jacinto Monument. The memorial is a dedication to men under General Sam Houston who fought for Texas’ independence.

Move on to one of the largest urban wilderness reserves in the United States, the 2,500 acre Armand Bayou Nature Center.

Have fun at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark and fulfill your desires of riding bowls.
